ethical argumentative Custom Essay

Argumentative Thesis

The essay offered in this paper is a critical analysis of the perspectives that are put forward by pro-life individuals in an effort to argue against the general debate that is usually put forward that abortion is generally acceptable especially under the circumstances when it is due to a rape incident or the pregnancy is risking the life of the mother. In more precise terms, the argument offers reasons as to why abortion that is based on the fact that a girl or a woman was raped is an act that is morally illegitimate whereas an abortion that is conducted due to the endangered life of the mother is acceptable (Landau 91). This though has been keenly argued on the fact that abortion as a means of rescuing the life of an endangered mother ought not to be used as a cover for any other kind of abortion.

Principles Involved

In the paper, the main principle that is involved in developing the ethical argument is the fact that human life is special and that due to the high precious value attached to life, it ought to be maintained and respected under the very optimal levels. As a matter of fact, it is from this principle in the paper that the argument is also viewing the fact that a common action in the society that seems to be accepted morally does not necessarily means that it is the correct thing that should be followed. These two main principles have been used to critically analyze different cases of abortion and come up with the main principle of the paper that abortion is only morally ethical if at all the life of the mother having the pregnancy is at risk.

Particulate pollution results from emission of Particulate from the power plants. These Particulate matters include soot, dust and other type’s solid materials that are released into the atmosphere. Particulates are not only limited to power plants its sources also include diesel fuels from trucks, buses and garbage incinerators it can also be from fertilizers and pesticides. Heavy construction such as that of a new power plan can also cause Particulate pollution (Cullingworth 2005). It can also, result from process such as steel making and mining operations. Studies by such credible bodies as the USA Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have linked Particulate pollution with such heath problems as causing irritation to the throat, eye and nose it has also been linked with disease such as irritation of airways, premature deaths, breathing difficulties, heart attacks and aggravated asthma. “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God Custom Essay

posted by Tabitha @ 2:42 PM

Introduction

“Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” in its original form was a sermon authored by Jonathan Edwards and later preached by him on July 8th, 1741 in Connecticut, Enfield. Typical of Edward’s homilies, the sermon carefully interweaves express images of the Judeo-Christian concepts of Hell with the dynamics of the secular world and the reality of Biblical scriptures. This sermon remains Edward’s most popularly written work and serves as a testimony to the dynamics that characterized the great awakening in the 18th century. “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” remains also, the most read and studied piece among US historians, Christians and theologians. The theme of the sermon is repentance as the only panacea for a people who have forsaken Christ, to God’s imminent damnation.

Analyzing the literature “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”

Externally, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” is a sermon that is artfully delivered, with dexterity in literary devices evidencing this. The use of similes (the comparison of two elements, indirectly, through the use of words such as “as” “like” and “than”) for instance is seen to have been used severally. In Page 3, Edwards uses simile by saying that “The wrath of God is like great waters that are dammed for the present.” Elsewhere but in the same page, Edwards refers to the wickedness of men as being as heavy as lead.

Assessing Organizational Culture Custom Essay

Assessing Organizational Culture

The organization culture at my place of work is quite a simple and ordinally one. We are expected to report to work at eight in the morning and leave at five o’clock in the evening. We work from Mondays to Friday and rest on Saturday and Sunday. In regard to physical design the offices of each department are consolidated ones. Though the executives have their own private offices staffs in the same department operate from the same territory. When it comes to the parking lot there are no space reservations for executives, all staff members park from the same common ground and one can park anywhere. There is a common kitchen which every one has access to. One is free to make tea or coffee at any time of the day but there are official hours when we are served with tea or coffee by the subordinate staff. During lunch time there is an open are from where people can take their food from, though one can eat from his desk. Food is provided by the company self service being our style. Employees live like one big family (Robbins, 2008)

: Tourism Policy And Planning: York-Seville

York City is one of most historic cities in the whole of England. Its history dates back to almost two millennia when the Romans initially founded Eboracum (Lampriere, 2011). Subsequent Viking, Norman, Anglo-Saxon invasions added further to its rich and colorful history (Lampriere, 2011). Located at the convergence of River Foss and River Ouse, the city centre of York City is encapsulated virtually within medieval wall, with a major street pattern developed by the Viking, Roman, and medieval times.

Sevilla is the fourth largest city of Spain. It is a city in which you can clearly see large swathe of countryside within the city centre and even pick the renowned oranges of Seville from the tree (WhatSevilla, com, 2011). It is an interesting maze of ancient, winding streets and also a host of large avenues which almost bisect the city into two. Its large number of tourist attraction elevates the City of Sevilla to the status of a major tourist destination.

Inflation in China; LCD Makers under Fire

Inflation in China

Since the year 1992 when China suffered an inflation of 25%, the double figure inflation has never been experienced in the country once again. It is for the first time that the country is facing another severs state of inflation. It is recorded that the inflation rate in the country is mainly coming form the food sector that is contributing upto 75% of the inflation. The unique thing about the food inflation in the country is that the prices are not rocketing higher due to shortage of supply but due to the excessive demand in the market. The households are growing richer hence the demand for certain food types is increasing. Meat, milk and poultry in particular are facing the inflation in price levels and it is due to this that the ministry of finance is calling the inflation in the country as skewflation; one that is having rise in prices of one set of goods relative to others.

If at all China is suffering from skewflation, it is assumed that the situation will resolve itself as prices will settle at the higher levels. On the other hand, it is being assumed that the inflation problem may be a sign of worse things for the country of at all the country the inflation in the economy has more of its roots in other sectors other than the food sector. This inflation in the country has already caused money supply to double, the banking lending to undermine the quotas set by the government and the sudden plunging of the real interest rates. In an effort to curb this, the People’s Bank of China has raised the interest rates and hence the banks can not lend at rate slower than 5.8%. Reserve requirements have also been raised for the banks meaning that banks are depositing to the back six times more hence creating little to be available to loan out. In a nutshell, the inflation is resulting to shortage of money supply in an effort to rectify the situation.

Off-The- Job Behaviors Custom Essay

posted by Tabitha @ 2:37 PM

Topic: Off-The- Job Behaviors

Introduction

Peter Oiler was a competent and an exemplary truck driver with twenty years of service for Winn Dixie a company that owns twenty six retail stores. His services were terminated for cross dressing behavior when he was off duty by the company. The company claimed that this behavior could ruin their image and instigate customers to stop shopping in their stores if they met with Peter Oiler when he was dressed as a woman outside the company premises. Cross dressing is not a crime in any state in the United States of America therefore Oiler was not breaking any laws with his behavior. He never also broke any of the companies dressing codes or caused any customer to quit shopping in any of the companies store because of his behavior when off duty .Therefore this implies that the company made a wrongful termination. Termination as a result of off -duty behavior can only be fair grounds for termination if the behaviors affect the job performance by an employee. It can also be right and fair if the behaviors are illegal and lead to a conviction in a court of law. The employee can also have a contract with an employer that stipulates that certain legal behaviors are ground for dismissal. In such a case then the employer would be right to terminate the services of an employee if he or she violates such a written code (Hodgetts & Hegar 2008).

Migrant Mother Analysis Custom Essay

Migrant Mother Analysis

Migrant Mother has grown to be one of the most moving pictures used to illustrate the destitute life that was lived by migrant agricultural laborers in the United States specifically in California during the 1930s. Dorothea Lange was the person behind the perfect photography that clearly illustrates the situation facing the mother and three of her children. The main reason behind her photo can be stated as being that she wanted to gunner attention to the state of poverty that was facing American farmers. She wanted to bring help to the poor by letting the whole worlds know what was really happening behind the scenes. As is clearly illustrated in the paper, the main theme revolving the discussion is the destitute state that was facing the poor agricultural workers and their children in America during the period already indicated above. Hopelessness and poverty are therefore the main issues of discussion that have been critically analyzed in the paper with the help of visible characteristics form the picture.

The desperate face of the mother with her hand on her chin forms the focal point of the picture. It is clearly visible form her face that the mother is actually a huge victim of hunger during the time. Her face is wrinkled and boney. The same thing is also applicable in her hand which is a clear indication of the hard life that is most definitely characterized with hunger and hard work that the woman is living. The mother’s eyes are looking at a distant that is not on existence. She is holding her children around her but her mind is totally far away as she is living in a world that is no longer reliable at all.

Questions on Macroeconomic Environment Custom Essay

posted by Tabitha @ 2:30 PM

  1. Why is private investment spending so variable? How can policymakers try and stabilise it?

The objective behind private investment is to make profits. This therefore means that a firm is always attracted to a specific line of production by the profits it anticipates to make at the end of the production exercise (Arnold, 2008). If a firm engages in specific line of production and its anticipations do not materialize, then its interest in that line of production reduces as it tries to find other attractive sectors of the economy. If more attractive ventures are identified, then the concentration of the firm shall shift from one line of production to the next. This thus affects the investment criterion of private investors.

The investment of private firms can be stabilized in a single line of production if the government introduces incentives, it subsidizes the production process, improves the communication and transport network. At the same time if specific laws and rules that guide the entrance and exit of firms in a specific line of production are enacted, then investment spending by private investors can be stabilized.

  1. What were the key differences Between Keynes’s theory of income determination and that of the classical economists? Why did Keynes think that the market system could     break down?

According to Keynes in his theory of income determination national, income level is primarily determined at that point where aggregate supply and aggregate demand are equal (Atkinson, 1998). Noteworthy is the fact that the consumption function is the most crucial component of the aggregate demand in this theory of income determination (Atkinson, 1998). One thing that separated this theory from the classical economists’ assertion is the fact that equilibrium can occur at any employment level which is not the case with classical economists’ postulation.
